mita sneakers x adidas Originals ZX8000
May 13th 2013: mita sneakers x adidas Originals ZX8000
Following on from the success of last months ‘Japan Pack’ 1 op 1 namaak stone island we’re pleased to say that adidas have blessed us with a second installment. Although only one model is to be released, it’s good enough to warrant just the same hype that the previous three silhouettes garned at the end of last month. Hardened adidas fans will notice the colourway first of all but even the casual footwear consumer will be able to appreciate the shoe’s classic profile.
It’s a design that harks back to the golden days of EQT Support and if you’re unwilling to pay the EQT’s eBay prices its likely you’ll welcome the mita sneakers collaboration with open arms. Like the aforementioned EQT Support, the ZX8000 comes equipped with the technologically advanced Torsion bar. Torsion was and still is, one of the best footwear advancements of our generation so its nice to see adidas keeping it alive in today’s tech orientated market. The shoe first released in 1989 and although it’s a storied silhouette we can’t help think it’s been a little slept on. Despite never really tapping into mass appeal it’s become one of those connoisseurs choices and one that real footwear fans can appreciate.
After that little background check its time to take a look at the issue in question. In truth its a simplistic design but one that ensures it’s easy to get on board with. It retains all of the shoe’s classic features but is designed in such a way that it’s still revelant today. Seasoned adidas buyers 1 op 1 namaak stone island will love it’s historical references and the more casual buyer will hopefully appreciate it’s refined aesthetic. By using premium leather, suede and a light mesh the guys at mita sneakers have again succeeded in making an adidas classic just that little bit better and more importantly made a colourway worth buying. Like the previous ‘Japan Pack’ numbers are extremely limited and we don’t anticipate having these in stock for very long. They’re priced at £90 and they’re shipping now. Click here to check them out.
